²⁷ to a virgin having been promised-in-marriage^[a] to a man for whom the name was Joseph, from the house of David. And the name of the virgin was Mary. ²⁸ And having come-in to^[b] her, he said, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you”. ²⁹ But the one was very-troubled at the statement, and was pondering what-kind-of greeting this might be.
